Description:
The Mexican American war raged from 1846 to 1848. Americas goal was to expand it's territory across the entire North American continent. The war consisted of a lot of different smaller battles and the eventual signig of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo . This treaty cut Mexico in half and gained the U.S. 10 states, which led to discourt between free and slave states because of the additions.
