In 332 BCE Alexander the Great conquered egypt and that lead to the first greek periods in the egyptian time. When he got to the eastern gates of egypt there was no push back and they welcomed him with a greek style welcoming party.
Before he left Egypt he reorganized the administration of egypt, he appointed both greeks and egyptian in administer and financial offices in the country. He did that so he could ward off nationalist revolts.
