Description:

Zimmermann said that if the United States of America went to war with Germany, that Mexico should join the war on the side of Germany and attack the United States. Zimmermann then promised that if Germany won the war that Mexico would recover lost provinces. Also proposing that Mexico encourage Japan to enter the war against the United States.
