jan 1, 1773 - Inclosure Act of 1773

Description:

Under King George III, the Inclosure Act of 1773 was passed by the parliament of the Kingdom of Great Britain. It stated that land was now able to be enclosed, or privatized, while at the same time removing commoner access to it. This brought economic hardship to commoner/low-class families, as their way of income and, in part, food supply had been cut off. With this, family members began to seek employment that didn't involve working alongside relatives, investing time and energy into apprenticeships, as well as other profitable ventures.
