jan 16, 2104 - Akers wreaking havoc

Akers is unconscious, and Alvaro describes him as being “all torn up” by WAU “shrapnel.” No one knows where Maggie and the rest of her team are.
At her desk, Dr. Masters reports that Akers was “found in his diving suit, unconscious, in open water.” Akers has apparently been consuming large amounts of structure gel for weeks, leading to malnourishment. Dr. Masters also predicts “malign cell mutations” because of the ferrofluid’s transformative aspects. She plans to consult Dr. Eames at Omicron. While Dr. Masters is typing up this medical report, she stops suddenly, either because Akers has forcibly connected her to the WAU or done something else to her. Her breathing body still seems to be in front of the computer, attached to the fleshier WAU network.

Over the comms, Brandon Wan tells Strohmeier and Alice (and maybe others with them) that he is going to cause a diversion so that the others can get out. Aashish “Shank” Shankar and Jane Adams have apparently already been killed.
Strasky, Jonsy, Vanessa Hart, Emma Alvaro, and Richard Thabo manage to escape Theta and head for Omicron. Hart is badly injured when she blows up the O2 surplus, which seals the tunnel behind them to keep Akers from following. Her suit is leaking and she is left behind.
