The Berlin Conference takes place. The Berlin Conference was intended to be about the ending of slave trade and fostering a humanitarian idealism, in the end, however, it resulted in dividing the continent of Africa among the European powers while avoiding competition with each other.
Considerations made but not met include controlling slave trade and promoting humanitarianism idealism. It also included ending slave trade and providing welfare to Africa.
