Description:

Johannes Brahms died on May 3rd, 1897 in Vienna, Austria. In the summer of 1896, Brahms was diagnosed as having jaundice, but later in the year he found out that it was actually cancer of the liver ( which his father had died from). Brahms's last public appearance was on 3 March 1897. His condition gradually worsened and he died a month later, on 3 April 1897, aged 63.
