oct 21, 1962 - DAY 6:President Kennedy demands and orders a naval blockade of Cuba as soon as possible. The operation is reviewed and evenrtually approved.

Description:

This was a success for kennedy especialy since it was approved but also because it created a triumphant atmosphere for the USA and gave them a sense of control. They used their naval power to isolate an area of importance for the enemy. This was extremely beneficial for the US but pretty bad for the USSR. President Kennedy then addresses the American public and announces his plan to implement a naval blockade of Cuba.
