feb 23, 1836 - The Battle of the Alamo Travis set 21 cannons at the Alamo to defend it, making it the most heavily defended fortress in West North America, however, they did not have enough men to defend. Travis sent out what is now known to be the most heroic document in history. Every single Texan at the Alamo died.
