apr 6, 1830 - The Law of April 6, 1830 The Law of April 6, 1830 stated that: 1.Americans were no longer permitted to enter Texas. 2.Those already living in Texas could not bring in more slaves. 3.All empresario contracts that had not been fulfilled were cancelled 4.New contracts would be for European and Mexican settlers 5.All items coming into Texas from the U.S. would be taxed.
