22h 50min, dec 1, 1971 y - 2nd Amendment Proposal
Description:
The law was proposed by James Madison, founding father, born in Belle Grove and he proposed the law because he was sure that if they were to be attacked again, they could arm their citizens with weapons and be able to trust them. Alan Gottlieb of the SAF was the committee to propose the bill. The speakers at the time were Carl Albert and John W. MCormack. The president of the time was RIchard Nixon of the Republican Party. The Amendment itself is relatively important and hasn't ever had any major amendments because in order to do so, they would have had to make another amendment to amend the amendment itself. The amendment is in use to present day but a lot of people against gun control say it needs to be taken off the constitution. The Amendment has not been treating the country very well because people are split in half between shootings and self defense
