Lady Diana was the first wife of Prince Charles of Wales and consequently a member of the Royal Family of Great Britain. She was the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry and was herself referred to as Princess of Wales.
On August 31, 1997 however, Diana died in consequence of a car accident in a tunnel in Paris. Not only Diana died in the car crash, but also her friend Dodi Al Fayed and the driver, Henri Paul lost their lives on that day, whereas Diana’s bodyguard survived. While Dodi and Henri died immediately, Diana died later in the hospital. Since she was a great idol and an admired Lady for many people, her death led to worldwide grief.
Diana’s funeral was on September 6, where one million people attended on the streets of London to express their sympathy. Later on, people found out that Henri Paul was exceeding the legal limit of alcohol as well as the speed limit. People still probe if the accident was really an accident or if it was all planned because Diana was seen as a threat after the divorce from Prince Charles.
