Description:

After Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay negotiated a peace treaty with Great Britain, the Treaty of Paris was formed, formally ending the American Revolutionary war. Within this treaty Great Britain accepted the United States' independence and gave up territory from east of the Mississippi River to the United States. As a result, the America was set free from Great Britain's colonial rule and started to set boundaries between states, as well as beginning westward expansion.
