Description:
Alliance created by 12 countries in North America and Europe to prevent the further spread of Communism. NATO was primarily a security pact, if one member was attacked then this would be considered as an attack against all of them. NATO is mostly related with the concept of containment because its members created an alliance to prevent the spread of communism.
