Stalin was angered by the western allies' assistance to Germany, so he created a blockade in attempt to prevent the western allies from entering their sectors of Berlin, which was in the Russian-occupied East Germany. The Berlin blockade was mostly related to the concept of containment because Stalin attempted to prevent the western allies from expanding their control in Berlin.
