During the Bay of Pigs, the United States tried to invade and take over Cuba... That task did not go as planned in the slightest. By April 19 Fadel Casto's Cuban army had been captured, along with more than 1,100 US troops. This was yet again a step back for the US in the Cold War as this was another embarrassing defeat.
