Description:

The pullman strike was a 250,000 worker strike that lasted from May 11th to mid July in 1894. This strike was caused by 12 hour working days and unfair wages. The workers of the pullman train car plant walked out and refused to work in protest. this eventually led to railroad workers refusing to work and railroads shutting down. Eventually the president sent armed troops to end the strike.
