Description:

By the 5th century B.C.E, Greek wine was being exported as far out as southern France to the west, Egypt to the south, the Crimean Peninsula to the east, and the Danube region to the north. A ship wreck off of the coast of France was recorded to have a total of 10,000 amphora(pottery jar used for transporting and storing wine) on board, equivalent to 250,000 liters of wine.(pg. 67)
