Description:

Albania declared independence from the Ottoman Empire through its national legislature, and submitted a plea to the London Conference of 1913, made up of Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Russia. This plea asked for international recognition, but it was denied. Ottoman rule persisted, but Albania had an autonomous government. Albanian independence wasn't recognized until years later.
