jun 24, 1948 - The Berlin Blockade Begins
Description:
In 1848 Stalin blocked all roads to West Berlin in a plan to stop the allied governments forming a West German state and separate currency. The allies got around this with airlifts but it still lasted for many years, though it led to Stalin being seen as an aggressor by many countries and backfired.
