jan 1, 1996 - Ian Wilmut & Keith Campbell

Description:

Wilmut and Campbell created a lamb, which they called Dolly, by transferring the nucleus from an adult sheep’s udder cell to an egg. This was the first mammal created by somatic cell nuclear transfer. They had made 278 attempts, but only one succeeded. This advancement may be detrimental to society because, if it leads to human cloning, then there would be people that look just alike and identity fraud could take place.
