mar 24, 1765 - The Quartering Act

Description:

The Quartering Act is announced and put into play. The Colonial governments now have to provide housing and essential household items
(such as candles, firing, bedding, cooking utensils, salt, vinegar, and beer or liquor) to all British soldiers in the colonies. The governments did not have enough money to build all those houses and provide all those materials, so many British soldiers were made to live with colonists in their houses. Most colonists had more than one soldiers bunking with them.
