Description:

Nationwide railroad strike that changed the nation. 4,000 railroad workers went on strike to protest the recent wage cuts. Pullman brought in the government and railroad agencies to stop it. 30 workers were killed by the end of it.

Resolution: Eugene V. Debs was arrested and placed on trial, and the workers were forced back to work and Pullman was forced to sell his residential holdings.
