Description:

Ali was the cousin and son and law of the Islam prophet Muhammed. He also reigned as a 4th caliph (religious ruler) from 556-661 C.E and was the first Shia Imam. He became the third successive caliph to be assassinated when he died in 661. He was about 62 years old and died by the blow of a poisonous sword from a man named Ibn Muljam.
