Jeddah Cinemas: 1962
The cinema was available in Jeddah: in the second floor of the Indian embassy, which was based in Bajnid House, or in private shows in the homes of the wealthy.
But the cinema was launched in Jeddah by commercial film pioneer Fuad Jamjoom in 1962. He provided a showroom in the Al Jamajma neighborhood in the Baghdadiya district. A cinema store was opened next to it to supply cinema equipment to individuals . Thanks to Fouad Jamjoom, the cinema flourished in Jeddah after 1962 and there were besides the cinema of Jumjum, the cinema of Mohammed Abu-Safia in the Hindawi neighborhood, the Siraj Sahahiri cinema in the Al Shatei neighborhood and the cinema of Abdullah Saleh Al-Ghamdi in Kilo 2 and the cinema Sufian Fatani in Ammaria.
