aug 28, 1713 - The Treaty of Utrecht
Description:
This treaty place Acadians under Britsh rule and damaged relations and relationships between Acadia and the British crown. during these proceedings Acadians were also ordered to give up their arms as an act of rule on the part of britain and in conclusion Acadians claimed they had trouble with defending themselves from indigenous attacks as well as the ability to define their crops and livestock from wild predators. This is important because the poor relations and disarmament that occurred would later contribute to the failure of Acadia as a community. Acadians were also given an ultimatum in which they were to sign a document agreeing to the law pf the british which many loyalists were completely opposed to.
