Description:

The German Empire was united on January 18, 1871, after Prussia had defeated Denmark, Austria, and France in order to gain control of German-speaking territories in Europe. Germany became united with the help of Otto von Bismark who strongly believed that Germany could only become united through war or as he said "blood and iron". As a result, Bismark fought and conquered all of the countries in the way of the German-speaking territories coming together.
