After Napoleon's army could not defend themselves against the allied forces from the countries they invaded including Prussia, Austria, Russia, and Sweeden, these powers invaded France. When the powerful countries invaded France, Napoleon abdicated in 1814 and was exiled to the island of Elba. However, Napoleon escaped the island and resized power for 100 days. Finally, after coming back to rule for 100 days, Napoleon was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo by the allied powers.
