Description:
The whiskey rebellion was a protest against the tax on whiskey. After the Revolutionary War the federal government put taxes on many things to gain back debt from the war. The colonists were not happy with this and violently rebelled against the government. This lead to many colonists dead due to the governments power. This caused the people to realize how powerful the government is.
