Description:

The Napoleonic Code was the most lasting affect that Napoleon had on France and by 1960 over 70 countries adopted this act. This code set key concepts including, equality of all in the eyes of law, no recognition of the privileges of birth, freedom of religion, separation of the church and the state, freedom to work in an occupation of one's choice, and strengthening the family.
