jan 12, 1812 - The War of 1812
Country is torn apart debating whether or not to go to war with Britain for a second time. Finally, Jefferson decides that war with Britain is inevitable. The Federalist have a convention, Hartford Convention, and they talk about ceceeding from the Union because they do not think that the U.S. will win the war. U.S. ends up winning the war, and the Federalist are seen as disloyal to their county; thus, the fall of the Federalist party leaving only the Democratic-Republicans.
