sep 12, 70 - Roman Desruction of Jewish Temple
Description:
In 66 A.D., the Jews of Judea rebelled against their Roman masters, so Emperor Nero sent an army to restore order. After a large number of events and by the year 70, the attackers had breached the outer walls of Jerusalem and began a systematic ransacking of the city. They burned down the Temple that served as the centre of Judaism.
