Description:
As the Roman Empire was on its decline, the empire was split in half in order to easily rule it. Since many other empires and tribes new that it was declining in power, they took advantage and quickened the Western Roman Empire's fall. People from the Western Roman Empire fled to the Byzantine Empire after their Empire fell. This caused new ideas and foods to spread.
