jun 6, 1861 - Start of the Second Great War
Description:
With the Eastern and Western halves of the continent rather secure, there seemed to be no real reason to go to war. However, in a mad grab for power, the Eastern emperor was secretly killed and brought back to life under the control of his warmongering general in chief in tandem with a skilled mage from the University. The emperor then declared an immediate cessation of trade with the Western empire, and stacked the border with troops, waiting for the slightest provocation. Due to several small mishaps and misunderstandings, two smaller forces clashed in one of the smaller mountain passes, leaving the east's forces to flee. This was the "justification" the undead emperor needed to command an immediate assault of the west.
