jun 28, 1919 - The Signing of the Treaty of Versailles
Description:
On June 28, 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war. America was free from the war at last, due to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. Mainly only affected Germany because they were blamed for the start of WW1 and were forced to pay the damages and cost of the war. It did not push them closer to war, This ended it. This was a social impact because the U.S. is now known as a more powerful nation because they just had won a huge world war.
