sep 2, 1945 - Albania Overtaken by Communism

Description:

After the Soviets defeated the Germans at the end of the second World War, all Balkan countries that fought against Germany were then liberated by Stalin, including Albania. At the end of WWII, in 1945, Stalin installed a communist government in Albania, overtaking the country with communism. The overtaking of Albania is mostly related with the concept of expansionism because the Soviet Union wanted to spread communism throughout Europe, thus expanding their territory at the cost of Albania.
