jan 1, 1980 - DIgital Recording and Sequencing

Description:

this type of recording is still used even today
but it really became popular during the 80s and it came about with the rise of digital tape.
This is much different to analogue where a signal would be imprinted on the tape it would be imprinted on binary.
This now means that these digital tapes have to be converted from the original analogue to the digital tape format.
Other converters were made like a CV/Gate it converted digital to analogue.
The MIDI input come in through the specified input and converted to analogue for mainly analogue hardware.
In this time the pre cursor to the DAW was made through the Atari ST. This now meant that information could be sent through message.
