The colonists made an agreement not to export or import any British goods. This agreement was a result of the Townshend Acts and the colonies were trying to make Britian repeal the acts. The Non-Importation Agreemetns were one od the most effective frms of protests the colonists came up with."The agreement, essentially a boycott, was a series of agreed upon commercial restrictions the colonists put in place with regard to trade with the mother country.
