mar 5, 1770 - The Boston Massacre

Description:

British soldiers in Boston opened fire on group of American colonists killing five men. Prior to the Boston Massacre the British had made a number of new taxes on the American colonies including taxes on tea, glass, paper, paint, and lead. Boston, New York, and Philadelphia agreed not to import from Britain until they took back The Stamp Act. Sons of Liberty organize violent demonstration: they destroyed stamps and paper. Boycotts occurred and The Viginia Resolution.
