Description:
North Korea, supported by China and the USSR, invaded South Korea following a series of border clashes. Once the US and other UN-backed countries supported SK, the war devolved into a stalemate until 1953 when a demilitarized zone was created between SK and NK.
The Cold War Concept that this event matches to is Proxy War. This is because the East and West powers were supplying opposing sides of the war.
