Description:

France had very big political and financial problems this force King Louis to summon the Estates General. The assembly consisted of all the Three Estates- clergy, nobility, and the commoners. They had the power to decide on the allowing of new taxes and to undertake reforms in the country. The opening for this assembly as marks the start of the French Revolution.
