The invention of the printing press greatly changed the way that information was disseminated to the people. Without the printing press having been invented, things dating back to even the beginning of the Rennaissance probably wouldn't have occured, just because there would be such fewer people actually knowing about the things that were being explained to the public through the pamhplets and books being recreated and given to the commonwealth.
