jun 1, 1812 - Declaration of War

Description:

At this time, James Madison has just sent a message to Congress telling them that the U.S. has currently gone to war with Great Britain. The U.S. have gone to war with Great Britain because of foreign impressments, their forts, and the British Incitement of the Native Americans. This is a large point in history, because Madison is sacrificing his whole presidency to fight this war, and this ultimately can be seen as a failure because of the economic and social hole that he puts himself into after the war is concluded, making the divide between political parties very vulnerable.
