Description:
The Sack of Rome was when the Spanish forces stormed the city of Rome when Spain was dominant in Italy under Charles V. This humiliated Pope Clement VII and after becoming besieged he gave territory to Spain, and had a huge enconomic impact on Rome, and showed the superority of Spain and the HRE.
