oct 7, 1763 - The Proclamation Line of 1763

Description:

After the French and Indian War, the British created a proclamation on October 7, 1763 that prevented American colonists from living West of the Appalachian mountains. Most colonists were enraged by this due to the loss of homes/families from people who were already living there before the law was passed. This was put in place to prevent another war from breaking out and causing the British more financial damage.
