Although Joan of Arc made an impact in many areas that she was involved in, her leadership in the War helped put her in a position in which she could start creating change. In addition to her battlefield accomplishments, Joan of Arc also defied the societal norms during her time for how the thoughts of women should be viewed through the words of her trial. She spoke up against political, scientific and a variety of other issues, which were topics that women’s words rarely ever made an impact on. However through her eloquent words, despite not having a formal education, she came to bring about a change on how women were viewed within her society.
