Description:

Created a territory north of the missouri compromise line. The new territory's slave status would be determined by territorial legislature. Also repealed the Missouri Compromise. Further divided the territory into two states Kansas and Nebraska. Kansas was more likely to be a slave state. Demolished the whig party and lead to the birth of the republican party.
