Carthage broke it’s treaty with Rome, the Romans sent an army to North Africa, beginning the third war. Carthage withstood Roman rule for 2 years until Scipio Aemilianus was put in command. They pushed an attack on Carthage and there were 7 days of long battle and the Carthage finally surrendered. This made Africa another part of the Roman Empire
