The Poll Tax Riots were a series of riots that were held in British towns and cities to protest against the Community Charge. The largest protest occurred in central London. The rioters wanted to alter the way the tax system was used to fund local government in the UK. A slogan that was used during the riots was "Can't Pay, Won't Pay."
