may 10, 1773 - Tea Act
Description:
While the Tea Act didn't create any new taxes on the colonists, it allowed the East India Company to monopolize the tea industry in the colonies. This angered colonists as it could force other companies into bankruptcy and it renewed passion against "taxation without representation." Many colonists raised support in boycotting the company.
